Shreveport, LA – The highly anticipated Jazz Fest on the Red is set to light up Riverview Park on April 12, 2025, delivering a full day of world-class jazz performances along the scenic Red River. Organizers are thrilled to announce this year’s star-studded lineup, headlined by jazz legend Dorsey Summerfield Jr., along with the launch of the Jazz Fest on the Red Scholarship Fund, supporting high school jazz musicians in the Ark-La-Tex region.
2025 Jazz Fest on the Red Lineup
This year’s festival will feature an electrifying mix of legendary performers, powerhouse ensembles, and rising stars, including:
- Dorsey Summerfield Jr. – Renowned jazz saxophonist and former lead with the Ray Charles Orchestra, Summerfield remains a pillar of the jazz scene in the Ark-La-Tex.
- Bossier City Big Band – A dynamic 20-piece big band, bringing the timeless energy of classic big band jazz to the stage.
- Q Major the Violinist – A rising star known for his masterful improvisation and excellence on strings.
- Dirty Redd & His Band – An electrifying artist group delivering a fresh, high-energy jazz experience.
- Plus Many More! – A diverse lineup of talent representing the best in ArkLaTex jazz.
Attendees can experience non-stop jazz from 11:00 AM to 11:00 PM CST, alongside artisan vendors, food trucks, a beer garden, VIP experiences, and exciting community activations.

Jazz Fest on the Red is proud to introduce the Jazz Fest on the Red Scholarship Fund, dedicated to supporting talented high school jazz musicians in Louisiana, with a focus on the Ark-La-Tex region.
Scholarship applications are now open at www.jazzfestonthered.com. The deadline to apply is May 15, 2025. This year’s scholarship recipients will be honored after the festival at a special fundraiser and community brunch, where the next generation of jazz musicians will be celebrated.
