Experience a Victorian Christmas at Downtown Shreveport’s Ogilvie-Wiener Mansion.  The home is one of the few remaining downtown mansions from an any when huge homes were on each block.  Located at 728 Austen Place, this 1896 Queen Anne- style home was the original residence of William B. and Samuel G. Wiener, who designed the Shreveport Municipal Auditorium.  In the 1950’s it was the Florentine Supper Club, host to famous guests like John Wayne, Bette Davis, Doris Day, William Holden, and Ethel Merman, many of who both visited and performed there.

In 1972,  it was known as ‘the’ place to meet, greet and dance the night away. After owner Gene Barnett’s death in 1996 it went through a series of owners until 2011 when it was purchased by John and Debbie Bryant of Shreveport.

Since purchasing the home, John and Debbie have been working to lovingly restore the home as an eventual bed and breakfast,

The Christmas tour includes the history of the home, 10 beautifully decorated Christmas trees, Victorian Christmas décor, and light refreshments.
