Forte and Tablada, a Louisiana based engineering, surveying and advanced technology firm with branches in Baton Rouge, Denham Springs and Shreveport has purchased 1010 Marshall Street for their new regional office.
Jordan Pearson, Sr. VP of North LA and Shareholder of Forte and Tablada is excited that the North Louisiana office is relocating from the Pierremont area to downtown. He believes the office at the corner of Marshall Street and Short Line will be open and ready to show off in February, 2024. Pearson says the 3,105SF main office building was in good shape. It was totally renovated in 2007 and features an eye-popping copper wall and a concrete conference table mounted to the slab.
“Right now we are having some painting and interior customization done to accommodate our employees, along with roof work and eventual new signage,” says Pearson. “We are bringing in 8-9 employees and may expand to ‘grow into’ our back space.”
The back space that includes 9,000SF of fenced property and a nearly 1900SF storage/multi-use building was a dream come true. “We’re doing a lot more surveying locally,” says Pearson, “and having a place on site to store our equipment and trucks is wonderful.”
In addition to putting them closer to city government, they are also looking forward to the time they will save driving to project locations. “We work on projects from Benton to the Port,” Pearson says, noting that their new building sits roughly equidistant to both.
The move to downtown has been a few years in coming for Forte and Tablada. “We started looking in 2020 and finally landed on 1010 Marshall Street,” says Pearson. Here’s to the next chapter in their expanding business.
