General Description of Duties and Responsibilities:
The ShrevePark Parking Service Patrol Officers’ primary duties shall include: parking area patrol, code violation observation and citation, “ambassadorial” presence on the street. Patrol Officer activities involve the following tasks: walking or riding a parking meter route, enforcing parking meters and parking laws in parking meter zones.

Patrol Officers will need good public relations skills, tact and diplomacy with the general public; must remain composed and professional at all times; should have ability to de-escalate tense situations. Officers will perform other duties as required, including direction assistance. Officers and technicians may be cross-trained.

Minimum Requirements for the Position:

  • Current and valid driver license. Driver’s license is a condition of continued employment.
  • Eye, hand, and foot coordination.
  • Spatial and form perception.
  • Ability to use a handheld computer.
  • Ability and willingness to follow instructions.
  • Good public relations skills.
  • Good conversational English.
  • Ability to give directional assistance and instructions.

This is a Full Time Position.
Starting Salary: $13.00+ per hour


Streetscape Maintenance Crew Laborer: Full Time Position

Reports to: Streetscape Supervisor

General Description of Duties and Responsibilities:
Maintains grounds and street amenities of public property, performing any combination of the following tasks: Landscaping, painting, litter and refuse collection, and disposal and general maintenance. Weekend and night work are sometimes required.

Specific Tasks
Specific tasks include, but are not limited to:

Tree pruning, fertilization, mulching, insect and disease control, and refuse removal. Planting bed maintenance, pruning, fertilization, mulching, weeding and cultivation, insect and disease control, and plant replacement. Irrigation system monitoring replacement.

Cleaning and painting tree grates. Cleaning brick and concrete pavement. Cleaning and maintenance of antique light globes and maintenance of banner arms. Cleaning lenses and bulb replacement in tree well uplights. Cleaning and painting benches and litter receptacles. Placement, replacement and cleaning of plaques, historical markers, special event banners, flags, and signs.

Setting up tables, chairs, PA systems, staging, general clean-up, signage, and other tasks related to special events.

Special equipment used will include, but not be limited to operation of articulating electric boom lift, power tools, movers, leaf blowers, weed eaters, street sweeping machines, and power washers.

Other duties as assigned by competent authority.

  • Demonstrates ability to perform assigned tasks.
  • Knowledge of conversational English, grammar, spelling, and arithmetic.
  • Possess a valid Louisiana driver’s license. Driver’s license is a condition of continued employment.
  • Eyes, hand, and foot coordination.
  • Spatial and form perception.
  • Ability and willingness to follow instructions.
