Scottish Rite Bazaar VIP Night @ Scottish Rite Cathedral

Come be a part of the first night ever of the first Scottish Rite Cathedral Antique and Vintage Bazaar! VIP Night gives you the opportunity to get a first look (and first purchase) of the 20+ vendors who will be at the weekend show. Enjoy wine, appetizers, music by the Joanitones, and tours of this extraordinary building! Built in 1917, the 102-year-old structure, in addition to being historic, is amazingly ornate and beautiful. SO MUCH is original, from the 165 light fixtures to the ornate molding and marble. You’ll be able to see in nooks and crannies that have otherwise been off limits for years. In doing so, you’ll also be helping save the building for future generations. Your $20 entry fee to the VIP event (and any other donations you may give) will go to help pay for maintenance and ongoing repairs in the building.

There is a lot of free parking near the building and all on street parking is FREE after
5 pm on Friday evening. 

 

Shreve Town Presents Zap Cat and the Queen Bee @ Shreve Towne Barber Shop

Come see what what Starrymite Creations Artist Star Williams and her famous Zap Cat character are up to now.  Zap Cat is now available on assorted cocktail glasses and mugs and to commemorate the occasion Star has come up with an accompanying cocktail, the “Zaparita”! Join us for a tasting happy hour as you peruse with the option to purchase- local art and glassware by Star Williams, locally made hair and skin care, soaps, honey, spice blends and candles by the “Queen Bee”  (local artist/crafter and founder/ co-owner of Bee Hippie and Queen Bee Hippie) Tracey Prator. There will even be a “Zaparita” scented candle made for the occasion!  Complimentary (sample size) cocktails, coffee, water and light hors d’oeuvres will ‘bee’ provided. This is a free event, however tickets are being offered in advance for $20 each which will reserve your choice of a limited availability Zap Cat glass and candle at a special early bird price.

Come hang out with us…stop by on your way home from work and stay a minute or a while. Tours of our beautiful restored, historic downtown building will be available, as well as the opportunity to book any of the amazing services that we offer. Shop local, support small businesses and artists!

Scottish Rite Antique & Vintage Bazaar @ Scottish Rite Cathedral

Antiques, vintage, and crafts! In association with the Shreveport Downtown Development Authority, the historic Scottish Rite Cathedral will host antique, vintage, and craft vendors from across the Ark-La-Tex in order to support the preservation of this important piece of Shreveport history.

In addition, tours of the beautifully preserved Cathedral will be provided, and details on how to book this venue for your wedding, party, fundraiser, or other event will be available. Snacks and beverages will also be on site to keep you refreshed while finding new-to-you treasures!

This first-ever event runs Saturday and Sunday from 9 am- 6 pm. More than 20 vendors of everything from high quality furniture to old record and concert tee shirts to home decor and art will be for sale.

Lots of parking nearby! All on street parking is FREE on the weekends, and there are a number of surface lots who are open and will be free for our shoppers on the days of the show. Please see the parking map below.
