FriendsWithYou Retrospective Exhibition at artspace

October 25 to December 21, 2019, celebrates 17 years of Samuel L. Borkson and Arturo Sandoval, III as the Fine Arts Collective FriendsWithYou. Brilliant colors and geometric patterns created by the art duo are transforming artspace into a magical, friendly and hopeful place where the line between imagination and reality blurs. Bold, colorful stripes fill the walls and air-filled sculptures take you by surprise amidst a gallery of FriendsWithYou Art, bronze sculptures, digital designs, and films. Academy Award-Winning Animation Artist William (Bill) Joyce says, “FriendsWithYou has a huge international following and is on the vanguard of pop culture, rock and roll and high art. Their work resonates across all cultures and media and has the power to open up and change the way you think about Art as a part of our community and a part of our culture.” The exhibit is fun for the entire family, and a great way to introduce children to art that is happy and transformative.
