Project Broadway + Beauty Bar
Who will be Shreveport/Bossier City’s next big designer? You’ll have to see for yourself on Thursday, Sept. 27 when we transform artspace into the runway.
For our inaugural year, we have teamed up with the Shreveport Regional Arts Council and artspace for a truly magical experience. The premise of this design competition is to create a one-of-a-kind evening wear look to be worn at SRAC’s bi-annual Christmas in the Sky 2018.
But who will take home the grand prize?
The designer picked as the winner of Project Broadway will receive the following:
·Brother sewing machine provided by The Sewing Shop
·$100 gift card to The Sewing Shop
·Winning look will be showcased during SB Fashion Week’s main show, Sept. 29, and at Christmas in the Sky
·Winning designer and model will be featured in a spread in SB Magazine
Designs can create from conventional or unconventional materials but must reflect some aspect of Broadway. We will have two winners that evening, our Grand Prize winner and People’s Choice — voted on by YOU! But you’ll have to come to the MAIN EVENT on Saturday to find out our People’s Choice.
Prior (and complimentary) to the runway show, ticket holders are encouraged to attend our Beauty Bar, a fast paced demo session with area beauty consultants. From hair and makeup to skin care and vision, we’ve put together a stellar lists of reps who are ready to show you how to be the best version of yourself.
We’ll also have a mini-marketplace with local accessory and jewelry makers.
