This event focuses on the textures of our world and features the work of artists Nadine Charity, Julie Glass, James Marks, Sherry Tamburo and Kathryn Usher. Their exhibitions use the walls as backdrops for multiple 3D installations in fiber, textiles, clay, metal, photography and the written word.

Upstairs, see the works of Critical Mass 7 Best of Show Visual Art Winner Linda Dickson Moss: The Shaken Foundation.
Moss’ colorful, complex works are meant to show the many facets of adoption. The exhibits are up through Feb. 22.
On Sunday, Feb. 2, join ShreveTowne Studio 512 at 512 Crockett Street for the Underground Abstract Art Exhibit.
This free exhibit opening and reception will feature multiple local and surrounding area artists. Join the “movement” of self expression and explore alternate forms of art through eclectic (and electric!) colors and textures.
The event is 2-4 pm at 512 Crockett Street. The electronic music duo Stonerpop will be performing during the show!
The Agora Borealis is open Monday- Saturday, 10 am- 6 pm and the art marketplace always has a rotating art display on the walls. The ‘Hello Yellow’ series works of Uriah Joseph Oxford are currently on display.
Says Uriah, “I love the moment when inspiration hits in the act of perspiration – that second the painting begins to honor your discipline and true love to wrestle with the materials. That moment is a hunt that I live for in creating. When the piece coughs, hiccups, sweats and offers it’s hand to say – let’s go somewhere.”⠀
