Korner Lounge @ 800 Louisiana – Graphite and mixed media works by Aunna Kelly (Starving Artists) will be on display! Enjoy some trivia while you’re there!
Sketch the City tonight at 6:30 pm. The local chapter of The American Institute of Architects (AIA) will be hosting a Sketch the City event at 6:30 pm on the sidewalk beside the Fairmont (corner of Cotton and Common). Bring your own pencils and sketchbooks or use ours; draw the beautiful Scottish Rite Temple and historic B’Nai Zion. Prior to the sketch session will be a short history talk about these two prominent downtown buildings.
Fairmont Lobby @ 762 Common – See and buy the works of a Heather Evans and Andreina Winfree.
Central ARTSTATION @ 801 Crockett features a display of artists vying for the coveted title of Critical Mass 5. If you wish, you are invited to stay to hear the comments of national art critic Bob Pincus as he announces the Critical Mass artists. In addition, listen in on a panel discussion on art collecting with critics and a Dallas gallery rep. Should you collect because you love it, or think it will go up in value? Learn the answer here!
Minicine? @ 846 Texas Avenue will be hosting the large format works of Ben Moss, Linda Dickson, Jeormie Journell, Brett Malone, and Thom Johnson. Susan Fortenberry and K Square Studio (Karen Pearce) will also be selling their great art wares at Minicine?.
ASEANA Asian Gardens @ Texas Ave. and Milam – walk through the gorgeous, colorful space and see gardens representing a number of Asian cultures. Enjoy street music while there.
Food Trucks– Enjoy the delicious icy sweet treats from Sweetport and the tasty sandwiches, hotdogs and homemade donuts from Li’l Orbits. They will be parked along Crockett Street between Minicine? and Central ARTSTATION.
