Downtown will soon be welcoming a new Cajun-themed fast food restaurant at 400 Texas Street adjacent to the Shreve Memorial Library. Kajun Korner Food Express is owned by Karanda Martin-Tucker, who made such a hit at the Shreveport Farmers’ Market that she has decided to go for a brick-and-mortar. Martin-Tucker is working on a hundred necessary details right now, such as menu, hours of operation and state permits and we will keep you up to date on her opening plans.
Just to tickle your tastebuds- some of the things Karanda served at the Farmers’ Market included Chicken & Waffles, Seafood & Corn Bisque with French Bread, Chicken Chili and Cranberry Orange Lemonade. We are looking forward to sampling it all, soon!
