Welcome to Downtown Shreveport, the heart of northwest Louisiana, the center of business, banking, and government. Downtown is where it all began…where oil and water DID blend, where cotton began its long dusty journey up the Texas Trail, where fortunes were made (and lost), where mayors were called out to duel in the middle of town. We are made of equal parts colorful history, present day pluck and optimism about our future. We know it can be done and that we can do it. Opportunities abound. Historic buildings beckon.
