Shreveport Regional Arts Council – artspace, 708 Texas Street – Invitation to Free Exhibition Opening

“The Process” (Emily Ezell, William Joyce, Yuina Todman, and Ibrahim Fashho) exhibition at artspace reveals the steps and methods used by artists to create their art.  The artists in this exhibit showcase their creative process and display materials used like sketchbooks, sticky notes, rough sketches, concept drawings, and storyboards.  SRAC explains that these pieces give insight into the artists’ initial ideas and the development journey that leads from that initial idea to the final artwork.  The Process Show installation featuring Ezell, Joyce, Todman, and Fashho runs from July 12th  through October 15th at artspace.  The opening exhibition, Friday, July 12, 5 pm – 8 pm is free.

“My Louisiana Kodachromes” is also being featured at artspace from July 12th through October 15th.  This installation, by Caroline Youngblood is a collection of paintings from her personal collection of slide film gathered across Louisiana.  Youngblood painted the images life-size to draw the viewer into this nostalgic world.   Take a moment to come to the Exhibition Opening featuring Louisiana Kodachromes on Friday, July 12, 5 pm – 8 pm.  Admission to the opening is free!  “Engage with the artists, explore the intricate processes behind their work, and immerse yourself in a world where creativity and nostalgia intertwine.”  You don’t want to miss The Process Show and My Louisiana Kodachromes.
