The DDA’s Lighting Improvement Micro Grant Program is designed to increase customer traffic, enhance pedestrian safety, and improve the visual appeal of the street by providing an economic incentive to retailers, restaurants, and other businesses for exterior and interior lighting which can be seen from the street.
For exterior lighting that enhances pedestrian safety in the public realm, a $2,000 grant is available. There is no match required, but the applicant must commit to keep the lighting on from dusk until dawn. The DDA will arrange for someone to work with the applicant to select the style, type, and color of the lighting.
