Downtown Shreveport is packed with events this weekend for the entire family! Here’s a sneak peek at what’s happening:

The Shreveport Farmers’ Market is back again this week. 7:30 am – 12:30 pm at Festival Plaza.

It’s Shark Week, but it is going to be JAWsome all month at the Shreveport Aquarium! The first 20 kids age 2-12 to visit every day will receive a JAWsome shark party pack. Learn about shark science, meet Sherlock the shark, create shark art & poetry and so much more!

Friday night is the opening reception for two wonderful shows at Artspace: My Louisiana Kodachromes by Caroline Youngblood & The Process Show. Both receptions begin at 5pm.  SRAC will share the much anticipated news of who is moving into the restaurant space. The new eatery will be catering the event!

Caddo Common Park is a great place to be this weekend. The 2nd Saturday Social kicks off Saturday night at 7pm with live music by Native to the Parish & Signs of Stress. There will also be a food truck. The event is free to the public!

Oklahoma! opens this weekend at Emmett Hook Center at First Methodist Church. Tickets available here.
