The team at DDA (Monica Rogers, Stacie Leng, Kathleen Eddy, and Lauren Davidson) has been working really hard to make the June Artwalk one to remember.  And it’s going to be….so don’t miss it.  Check out their videos on the event page.

The June ArtWalk will feature great stops, amazing art, delicious food, live music, Sketch the City with Misha Farrell, and Robert Trudeau Tells us all about Huddie William Ledbetter better known by the stage name Lead Belly.

“Stop by Ashley’s Tiers of Love to get a free cupcake sample while supplies last.  Enjoy any one of their new milkshake flavors (available for purchase) while shopping with our artists.  Oh snap! Don’t miss their one-of-a-kind selfie booth!”

Do we smell pizza?  Yes, you do!  Pop N Pizza is sponsoring several artists, stop in the see what’s cookin’.

Then take a stroll over to the Lead Belly statue at Texas and Marshall where Robert Trudeau will regale us with tales of this blues icon during Trudeau’s Downtown Tells!  We see a dance shuffle, some hand percussion, and a sing-along in your future!

Along the ArtWalk route, stop in at The Venue at 421 Texas to visit artists and see their newly renovated event space.  Who doesn’t love a gold ceiling!  Then hop over to The Noble Savage to enjoy art, music, and their ArtWalk Specials; the Watermelon Crawlarita and Chicken Parm!

And take a live music break at the corner of Texas and Marshall where musicians will be keeping everyone in the ArtWalk mood!

One Texas Center will be hosting a number of amazing artists as well as Sketch the City with architect Misha Farrell.  Bring your sketchbook and pencils or use ours as you try your hand at drawing the beautiful Shreve Memorial Library!  Downtown!  Artwalk!  June 5th!  Don’t Miss it!  For more information visit the event page.
