Abby Singer’s Bistro, the full-service restaurant and bar at Robinson Film Center, welcomes Michael Brenner as the new chef. Brenner, who studied at the Culinary Institute of New Orleans, has more than 15 years of experience serving in restaurants from south Louisiana to Colorado. He brought his culinary skills to Shreveport with the Korean-inspired food truck Choego before joining the Abby Singer’s staff in December. “I’m honored to join the team at Abby Singer’s and to complement the work of the great chefs that came before me,” Brenner said. “I look forward to crafting a new menu for the bistro and introducing diners to my style of cooking.”

RFC Executive Director Meghan Hochstetler said Brenner is a great addition to the film center’s leadership team. “We’re excited to have Michael bring some new flavors to a restaurant loved by our community while building upon the quality and service our patrons have come to expect.”

Early reviews have been good. Chef Brenner’s New Year’s Eve dinner has been roundly praised as both tasty and well-priced, and those who have ordered menu items say the food is hot, tasty and well prepared.  Best of wishes to Abby Singer’s and Chef Michael for a long and happy culinary relationship!
