For $7SF per year, a cool $12,833 per month, the former Arlington Hotel which is now but a shell, can be yours to lease.

The Arlington Hotel, 700 Cotton St.

Sadly, the owners of the building who at one time had intended to turn the property into the highly-anticipated  Every Man a King Distillery, have decided that is no longer an option for them.

Building interior during construction.

The historic building, constructed in roughly 1913, is 22,000 SF, has a new roof and second floor and has new windows and faux doors. It is a perfect historic renovation project and can qualify for both the 25% State Historic Tax Credit and the 20% Federal Historic Tax Credit for a total of 45% of all qualified costs of rehab (cost of the building cannot be included).

Yes, this change in plans is terribly disappointing (but not completely surprising), and yes, a lot of time & energy has been spent on the failed endeavor, but the outcome is a win nonetheless. That’s because the long-vacant building, which was once in danger of losing a wall which might have led to its total demolition, is now strong, stable and intact and ready for the next great idea.

Though the building is only listed for lease, if you are interested in owning the old Arlington, we encourage you to reach out to the Realtors, Archer Frierson III and Claire Childs with Vintage Realty Co.

We all love this building and know that in due time, something wonderful will happen here.
