After more than a year of meetings, discussions, zoom calls and data gathering, the Shreveport-Bossier Convention and Tourist Bureau is just about ready to unveil its new Master Plan and Brand.

The current brand.

We can’t spill all the beans, but it is safe to safe say that the unwieldy and long ‘Shreveport-Bossier Convention and Tourist Bureau’ moniker is saying sayonara for something shorter, sweeter and very clear. Perhaps you can figure it out by visiting the SBCTB Facebook page.

Also gone is the branding ‘Louisiana’s Other Side’.

The new Master Plan will be the bureau’s guidebook on outreach, targeting, marketing and planning.

Convention and Tourist Bureau, 629 Spring St.

The goal of the plan is to not only increase visitor dollars left in the community, but enhance the visitor experience while here and create additional local pride. It is a tall order, but one the SBCTB now has a clear roadmap of how to navigate.

The 47th Red River Revel wants you!

On Thursday, June 8, the 47th annual Red River Revel is revealed! The mother of all local art festivals will be unveiling its 2024 Mike McSwain-drawn poster and sharing its 2023 music lineup at an event at Sci-Port Discovery Center.

There’s still a lot to come in 2023!

Meanwhile, the grand Strand Theatre will be announcing their 2024 season on June 15. No details have yet been released. Even though 2024 is looming large, there is still plenty of big shows coming in for the remainder of 2023. The playbill includes dance, comedy, seasonal performances and music!
