Charmel Lester  works in a temporary medium to create beauty in strange places. Her yarn art has been popping up all over downtown recently, from the sidewalk in front of The Agora Borealis at 421 Lake, to the Shreve Town Studio 512 at 512 Crockett, and most recently, to 420 Marshall Street.

She crochets acrylic yarn around parking meter poles, telephone poles, and trees.

Her most recent ‘Peace Signs’ were a collaboration with Retro Down Town Cafe. Charmel’s wall art is available to see at Shreve Towne Studio 512; commissions are encouraged if you need a particular size, shape or color.

We love her pops of color in unexpected locations downtown and can’t wait to see what she’s planning next!
