Get your history here! Former educator Robert Trudeau has made some changes to his popular downtown history tours. The tours are now $15 per person, but only three are needed to form a tour group. The tours are roughly one hour in length, but Robert is happy to extend them if you wish. Robert is very flexible on the days and times, saying his tours may be scheduled any day of the week and any time of day, a boon to travelers and those with tight schedules! Robert’s tours are walking tours, however, you can request a car tour in a Toyota Sienna. Be aware that seating is necessarily limited in the Toyota tour.

Robert’s tours focus on interesting historical bits from civil rights to the Louisiana Hayride and our amazing local musical heritage. His Walking Tour for all ages and interests starts at Rhino Coffee at 624 Texas Street. Possible tour stops include: the Caddo Courthouse and Confederate Memorial, Oakland Cemetery, Municipal Auditorium, Austin Place mansions, Calanthean Temple, Antioch Baptist Church, Scottish Rite Temple and Strand Theater.
