Summer Olympics at Sci-Port

Go for the gold as we celebrate the Summer Olympics at Sci-Port. Learn the science of sports, see the night’s sky in Rio and discover how Newton’s Laws impact your favorite games August 8-14. Sci-Port is open 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday-Saturday and Noon to 5 p.m. on Sunday.

Science of Sports – See how the concepts of center of gravity, depth perception, and action/reaction relate to sports.
Starry Night Rio – Tour tonight’s sky above Rio, and see the constellations our Olympic athletes will see.
Sensory Deprivation Olympics – Test your skills in simple challenges made more difficult by special goggles.
Young Issaac Newton – Learn about Newton’s Laws of Motion as they relate to sports.
