Spinning, swishing, and sashaying—world-renowned Soundsuit artist Nick Cave swept into Shreveport as the Shreveport Regional Arts Council artist in residence with a soulful message of hope, tolerance and accepting each other “AS IS.” Evan Falbaum and Movie Sauce spent twelve months with Cave and captured the profound way in which he delivered this message of change to local artists, dancers, singers, musicians, people along a parade route in Shreveport, friends beading on a Saturday morning and the homeless, HIV positive, at-risk children and disenfranchised. In this new documentary, see and hear the “AS IS” project from its beginning in the Shreveport Regional Arts Council boardroom to Cave’s intimate mentoring of local artists, performers and social service residents all the way to the premier of the performance of “AS IS by NICK CAVE.” Be a part of this wonderful change that is Nick Cave.
