PARTING THE VEIL with NWLA Artist Adena Helm opens Wednesday, September 18 at Central ArtStation. Helm creates a narrative with her visually layered paintings picturing Louisiana birds, African animals and even household pets. Her work is full of symbolism as she uses the animals to depict different versions of how she sees herself and others with their varying personalities.
The reception begins at 5:00 pm on September 18 but Adena’s works will remain up at 801 Crockett Street throughout the month of September.
