Drawn Downtown: A Shreveport Urban Sketch Crawl

Join Jim Richards, international Urban Sketcher and author of “Freehand Drawing and Discovery” as we work our way around the urban landscape in downtown Shreveport. Sketch Crawl begins at ARTSPACE on Texas Street on Saturday, February 11 at 11:30 am.

We will have a short sketch class by Jim and a short talk by Tony McDonald about his exhibit of work showing at the Norsworthy Gallery in February. The Crawl ends up at 4:00 at the Norsworthy Gallery for the exhibit reception. There is a 20.00 fee to participate in the Sketch Crawl.

Jim Richards has led sketching workshops across the globe and is the author of several on-line sketching classes and workbooks. This Crawl is open to everyone, and we encourage artists, architects, students and novices, no matter your skill level, to join us in an adventure to expose yourselves to the beauty of the urban landscape and document it in your sketch book. Pen, pencil, watercolor…any media will work as we move across downtown Shreveport!
