Introduction: Are Robots About to Take Over the World? and Other Questions about Advancements in Artificial Intelligence by Tim Magner,

Let’s face it, the world has been a little on edge about artificial intelligence since Hal took over the spaceship in 2001. The world of A.I has made steady advances since that film was released in 1968. Today, most of us have relationships with women like Siri and Alexa, and futurist Elon Musk has just predicted that artificial intelligence could turn deadly in the next decade. Really?! Should we be worried? Guest speaker Tim Magner will tell us what’s really going on in the world of A.I., what he thinks the world will look like in 10 years, and when we should prepare for the global robot takeover.
