Art & Soul Experience
Journey to discover the Art & Soul of the African and African-American experience at Southern University Museum of Art in Shreveport. Art & Soul, an interactive museum tour appropriate for all ages, will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, May 19. Explore art and artifacts from Africa with museum coordinator Angelique Feaster Evans, M.Ed. Experience the stories, sights and sounds of African-American life in Shreveport and beyond through the lens of art and culture.
Attendees will enjoy a guided, living character tour of the museum exhibits, participate in a drum circle, and create their own mini-masterpiece of Adinkra art. The tour is expected to last approximately 90 minutes. Cost is $20 per person and tickets must be purchased in advance.
