Pearls before Swine

The Agora Borealis is hosting Pearls before Swine, an artist reception for artist Megan Davis Taylor, Thursday, December 17, 2015 from 4:00 pm –7:00 pm. Representatives from Splash Kingdom Waterpark will also be at the Agorafrom 2:00pm–5:00pm offering a discount price of $69+tax on 2016 Season Passes, and giving out Door Prizes including a free season pass! This is a family fun event and free to the public. Join the Agora Borealis in honoring artist Megan Davis Taylor and her pet pig “Jasper” who will be performing tricks and posing for photos. Libations and light Hor d’ Oeuvre‘s of wild boar will be served. Taylor’s work is a celebration of the various and wonderful animals and wildlife of Northwest Louisiana. Taylor’s work will be on display on the gallery wall December 1st – January 15th.

With a hearty understanding of country living, Megan D. Taylor aspires to share her appreciation of nature with others. As a child, kickin’ dirt in a small Northwest Louisiana town, she was encouraged by her grandmother to nourish her imagination. Following her advice, she pursued an art degree from University of Louisiana at Lafayette. With the hope of seeing creativity thrive in a world full of distractions, she decided to share her artistic ability with others. She found that by teaching art to children, she can ensure that the next generation will have a love of the arts instilled in them as well. She now lives with her husband in Plain Dealing, LA and teaches several art classes in Bossier and Caddo Parish.
