Kallenberg Artist Tower Residency Artist Ron Smith will teach a workshop about his Layer application to his abstract mixed media music series
There will be sample pieces on display
“Because graphic design is what I have done for a living, I will share how I connect the two styles of art from both perspectives. It is why I do such contrasting styles. I use a mixed-media approach to do this. By applying layers of textures with paper and other elements, it is for me an obvious way to use visual arts to tell the story of the fusion of graphic design, and visual arts. Most have known me from the graphic design arena, but that is constantly transforming.”
15 or so participants can join in on the fun of using the paper element of my mixed-media approach to doing my abstracts.
