Artspace and the Shreveport Aquarium are registering children right NOW for Summer Camps.
Starting June 2, Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays artspace at 708 Texas St. will be hosting ArtBreak Summer Camp Days. Parents will have a place to bring kids from 10:00am – 12:00pm (2 hours) for 2 ArtBreak Make-and-Take STEAM art activities led by local artists, story time with area storytellers, and an artistic movement exercise! There are two age groups: 5 years – 8 years old and 9 years to 13 years old. Parents are invited to stay, head next door to Parish Taceaux for lunch or they can take a much needed break running errands. Artspace will reopen to the public at noon, so please be back by then to pick up your child.
Join ArtBreak at artspace this summer with 10 weeks of activities for the family. Due to social distancing we will have a maximum number of children each day. The camp is $8 per child, $20 for 3 children and $5 per children in groups of 4 or more.

Summer Camp Registration is also OPEN for the Shreveport Aquarium.

July 6 – 10, Heroes of the Deep! Back from 2019 by popular demand! Ages 6 – 11
Like Superman’s X-ray vision, sharks can see a heartbeat! Like the Flash, the Sailfin fish is the fastest hero in the ocean! A Mantis Shrimp can punch its forelimbs out with such speed it can break glass- that is the recipe for a super villain! The ocean is full of super-powered animals! At “Heroes of the Deep” summer camp your camper will learn about the amazing abilities of aquatic animals, as well as test a few of their own. Between making poisonous eel slime, saving the aquarium from the Evil Captain, and learning to be heroes in Louisiana, this will be a week packed with action including field trips (if available), art projects, science experiments and more! $230 includes camp t-shirt
July 13 – 17, Aquarist for a Week. New, Ages 11 – 17
