We are inviting you to help us bring Downtown Shreveport to life, one performance at a time.
If you’ve ever wanted to share your talent, now’s your moment to step out, plug in, and jazz up our sidewalks. Let’s amplify the sound of music in our streets and celebrate the rhythm of Shreveport.
Through our Street Performer Program, artists can perform in designated areas throughout downtown and add to the energy that makes this place special.
Here’s what you need to know:
- A Performance Permit is required. The annual permit is $30, and each member of a group must have their own.
- Performances are allowed daily from 10:00 AM to 10:00 PM.
- Approved locations are available on a first-come, first-served basis. Performers may move between locations but must remain at least 50 feet from other performers and any permitted festivals or events.
- Performances must keep sidewalks clear and accessible for pedestrians.
- Be mindful of volume—our goal is to enhance downtown, not overpower it. Noise levels must align with City ordinances.
- While tips are welcome, they must remain non-solicited. A case or container may be displayed, but active requests for money are not permitted.
Performance Permits are issued directly through the Downtown Development Authority. We’re also happy to guide you on peak times and best locations to perform so you can make the most of your experience.
