Shreveport Farmers’ Market returns for it’s summer run this Saturday, 8:00 am until Noon. At 8:30 catch the sounds of Monty Russell and at 11:00 am see a live cooking demo from Chef Tootie Morrison. Also new this year, Mimosas At The Market will be available every Saturday for the whole season. Sip, shop and enjoy!

Robinson Film Center has showings of “Lilo & Stitch” and “Tornado” this weekend.  Join Slow Food North Louisiana for Food For Thought. Partake in a delicious French meal prepared by Chef Niema DiGrazia followed by a screening of Babette’s Feast, June 4 at 6:00 pm. On June 6th, Byrd High School celebrates 100 years with a takeover of Downtown. As part of the event, The Robinson Film Center will feature A Century Untold: The C.E. Byrd Story release. This documentary honors the countless individuals who have walked its hallways. Showings will be scheduled throughout the day.

On Saturday, May 31, The Logan Mansion will open it’s doors to offer up an amazing array of items for sale. The one day only Purge the Mansion event will feature an eclectic mix of items: some new, some antique, and some just downright funky. From curiosities to practical treasures, there’s no telling what you’ll discover.

Caddo Common Park is host to a Medieval Faire on Saturday, May 31. The Shire of Ardanroe, in partnership with Shreveport Regional Arts Council, will be hosting a hands-on medieval art faire. Create a real medieval craft to take home, learn how to do calligraphy, leatherworking, heraldry, sword fighting, and more. It will be a day of fun for the whole family!

The Shreveport Urban Farm presents Rhythm & Blooms on May 31. Celebrate community, creativity and growth with an artist performance surrounded by the beauty of the garden. Snacks and beverages provided, a seed giveaway table, potting station, mini gardening lessons and plant a seed in the farm garden.
