On Jan. 11, Shreveport Mayor Tom Arceneaux announced that the city is setting up warming centers before the winter storm that is expected to hit the ArkLaTex early next week. The centers will be available to anyone who loses power and has no way to keep warm. These warming shelters in Shreveport will be available to the public if you need a place to stay safe from the cold.
Holy Missions:

Will open as a 24-hour cold weather shelter on Friday, January 12th from 6 p.m. through January 20th. Meals will be provided.
Shreveport Bossier Rescue Mission
901 McNeil St.
Presently is doing a 24-hour intake with 3 meals daily.
State ID is required.

Bilberry Park Community Center, 1902 Alabama Ave, Shreveport. Time: 8 a.m. – 7 p.m.
Airport Park Community Center, 6500 Kennedy Drive, Shreveport. Time: 8 a.m. – 7 p.m.
Tuesday, Jan. 16:
All SPAR Recreation Centers will be activated as warming shelters, providing a safe and warm environment for anyone in need.
