Hosted by Shreveport Green and the Rotary Club of Downtown Shreveport
In preparation for the highly anticipated Humor & Harmony Festival in August, Shreveport Green and the Rotary Club of Downtown Shreveport are organizing a clean-up event in Downtown Shreveport. This community effort is crucial to ensuring that the downtown area is welcoming for all festival attendees, and we need your help to make it happen.
The clean-up initiative will begin at the Hilton parking garage. From there, volunteers will work their way south through downtown, focusing on areas along Texas Street and concluding in the Red River District below the Texas Street bridge.
Shreveport Green and the Rotary Club of Downtown Shreveport will provide all necessary supplies, including vests, bags, and litter grabbers. Volunteers are simply asked to bring their enthusiasm, community spirit, and wear comfortable shoes suitable for walking and cleaning.
This effort is not only about picking up litter; it’s about fostering a sense of community pride and ensuring that Downtown Shreveport shines as an inviting place for both residents and visitors.
This is a great opportunity to make a difference and show support for the Shreveport community.
Date: Saturday, July 27
