The Shreveport Bossier African American Chamber of Commerce, Shreveport Bossier Chamber of Commerce, and Shreveport DDA hosted a welcome reception for the new Shreveport DDA Executive Director, Cedric B. Glover. The event took place at Artspace, where community members gathered to show their support. The evening was highlighted by delicious catering from Ono Hawaiian, adding a tropical flavor to the celebration.

Kicking off the event, DDA Board Member Drayden Dunn, representing the Shreveport-Bossier African American Chamber, began by sharing his excitement for Mr. Glover’s new role. DDA Board Chairman Michael Corbin followed, along with Councilman Gary Brooks, each offering words of encouragement and support. Councilwoman Tabitha Taylor then took the floor, delivering a dynamic introduction complete with upbeat background music, building anticipation for Mr. Glover’s remarks.

When Mr. Glover addressed the crowd, he thanked everyone for attending and extended a special acknowledgement to his wife, Veronica, and his family, recognizing their support over the years and presence that evening. He expressed his gratitude to both the DDA and Downtown Shreveport Development Corporation (DSDC) boards for entrusting him with this leadership role. Cedric spoke passionately about his commitment to fostering growth, strengthening community connections, and shaping a promising future for Downtown Shreveport. His vision left attendees inspired and excited for the possibilities ahead.

As Cedric B. Glover steps into his new role, Downtown Shreveport looks forward to a future of renewed energy, collaboration, and growth.
