The City of Shreveport has a city ordinance that mandates a parking violation occurs when part, or all, of a vehicle is outside the parking stall boundary lines (the lines that identify the parking space).  ShrevePark Parking provides some grace and consideration and only issues a ticket if tires are on, or outside, the lines (front or back). The patrollers do not write tickets if only the front or rear bumper is over the line. Most parking spaces are 22 ft. or 23 ft. long. Per the city ordinance, a parking space must be at least 20 ft. long.

Here is the ordinance:  Ord. No. 117,2015, (1-12-16), Sec. 90-110 – Method of parking in metered spaces

“At each parking space marked off in accord with this division, it shall be unlawful to park any vehicle in such a way that it shall not be entirely within the limits of the space so designated.|”

So now you know! Stay in your space, and we will see you downtown.
