North Louisiana Gay & Lesbian Film Festival

PACE’s 9th North Louisiana Gay & Lesbian Film Festival will run Friday, Sept. 8th through Thursday, Sept. 14th at the Robinson Film Center in downtown Shreveport, LA.
The mission of the North Louisiana Gay & Lesbian Film Festival is to recognize the important contributions that LGBT people have made to our culture; to educate the general population and raise awareness of LGBT concerns, as well as effect change in the political arena; and to investigate the history of LGBT people in film, including the stereotyping that has been a major part of this history and to counteract this stereotyping with valid, meaningful and diverse portrayals of LGBT people.

Sat. Sept. 9 – Reception and screening of A Very Sordid Wedding featuring special guests Emerson Collins, Blake McIver Ewing, and Ann Walker
Sun. Sept. 10 – Forbidden: Queer and Undocumented in Rural America followed by Q&A with principal Moises Serrano
Mon. Sept. 11 – Handsome Devil with panel discussion
Tues. Sept. 12 – The Death and Life of Marsha P. Johnson with principal Victoria Cruz
Wed. Sept. 13 – Shorts Program with special guests
Thurs. Sept. 14 – #ThrowbackThursday screening of Rent
