Saturday morning, the 32nd annual African-American Parade will roll from the historic Municipal Auditorium east to Market Street, then to Texas Street and back to the Muni. The parade starts at 11 am, but downtown streets will begin closing at 9:30 a.m., and we are told may stay closed until 4 p.m.

Saturday should be beautiful but could be cold, so come early and bring a jacket. Shreveport Mayor Adrian Perkins will be the grand marshal and will lead the parade that will feature floats, drill teams, marching bands, and more.

If you aren’t able to make it to the parade, you can see it live on KTBS 3/KPXJ CW 21. Coverage begins at 11 a.m. on KPXJ CW 21, ktbs.com and KTBS 3 Now connected devices like Roku, Amazon Fire TV, Apple TV and Android.
