Shreveport, Louisiana, November 18, 2025 — Sci-Port Discovery Center is thrilled to announce the arrival of its newest exhibit addition: a state-of-the-art Flight Simulator, specially programmed and fabricated by BetaFlix and generously donated by Brigadier General Gerald Goodfellow, United States Air Force (retired), CEO of Small Business Consulting Corporation and his wife Kristine Goodfellow. This one-of-a-kind simulator features actual aircraft from Barksdale Air Force Base, offering visitors a truly immersive flight experience.

To celebrate this exciting addition, the community is invited to a ribbon-cutting ceremony on Tuesday, November 25 at 2:00 PM at Sci-Port Discovery Center. Guests will have the opportunity to acknowledge the donors and partners who made this exhibit possible and be among the first to take flight on the simulator.

“The Flight Simulator is an incredible addition to our exhibits,” said Dianne Clark, Executive Director. “We are deeply grateful to General and Mrs. Goodfellow and BetaFlix for helping us inspire curiosity and excitement for aviation and STEM. This simulator brings the thrill of flight to our visitors in a way that is both educational and unforgettable.”

The simulator will be integrated into Sci-Port’s educational programming, giving students, families, and aviation enthusiasts a chance to explore aerodynamics, physics, and the engineering behind flight – all while piloting aircraft used at Barksdale Air Force Base. The public is encouraged to attend the ribbon-cutting ceremony, thank the donors and partners, and experience this exceptional exhibit firsthand.
