What if you knew that fresh-from-the-local-farm produce would be waiting for you without you having to lift a finger, and that the purchase would be supporting a local farm, not a giant conglomerate?
Downtown has just the thing. In mid-‘ish’ June, Cotton St Farms at 406 Cotton St. will begin Community Supported Agriculture (CSA) subscriptions for microgreens, salad bouquets, herb bouquets, and seasonal fruits & vegetables. Here’s how it works, according to Cotton St. Farms- a farmer offers a certain number of “shares” to the public. Typically the share consists of a box of vegetables, but other farm products may be included. Interested consumers purchase a share (aka a “membership” or a “subscription”) and in return receive a box (bag, basket) of seasonal produce each week throughout the farming season.
How cool is that? Their website isn’t yet set up for the program, but will be soon. In the meantime, if you would like to purchase salad bouquets, microgreen salads and microgreens before then, you can, and CST will send you an invoice. Once the website program is up and running, all that will become automatic. Contact Cotton St. Farms Here to get your name on the list or to ask any questions!
