James Marshall was born at Barksdale Air Force Base in Bossier City, Louisiana, but spent 26 years in California in the San Francisco, Bay Area. After completing the work on his Master of Science Degree in Psychology at San Jose State University, James returned to Shreveport Louisiana in 1984. Besides having a Master’s Degree, James is also a certified Gestalt Therapist, Psychodrama Director, and Clinical Hypnotist. James has been doing art since the age of five when he began withdrawing and living in his art to find peace of mind, clarity, and accomplishment. James views himself as a Primitive Artist working in varied mediums. He has created Tapestries, Sculptures, and Ceremonial Objects.
