In honor of Black History Month, Kabuki Dancers will present “The Breakdown: A Lesson on Hip-Hop History.” The performance focuses on the history of Hip-Hop and the important figures that pioneered the culture. The program includes a discussion on the elements of Hip-Hop (and their respective pioneers), demonstrations, an interactive dance workshop, and a dance performance by the Kabuki Dancers. The Kabuki Dancers will also speak on drums as an influential element to the creation of Hip-Hop music.
