Fat’s Oyster House in the Red River District, has started serving. Fat’s owner Chase Boytim threw open the doors as part of a ‘soft opening’ Super Bowl weekend and was happy with the turnout. Several events including karaoke on Friday night, live music Saturday evening, boiled crawfish by the pound and the game on Sunday night led to nice crowds and a chance to show off his new eatery.

Initially, the restaurant, located at 450 Clyde Fant Parkway in the space once used by Fully Stacked burgers, will be open for lunch Wednesday-Friday, 11 am- 3 pm and Thursday-Sunday, 5 pm- 10 pm for dinner service. Craft beers and other adult drinks will be available all the time.

The lunch menu features a variety of options for $10 or less, Southern Maid Donut Bread Pudding is available lunch or dinner (yum!) and there are great selections of both locally and regionally-brewed beers and specialty cocktails.   Menus below

Depending on COVID restrictions, the hours are subject to change, but for now, the restaurant will be open for in-store and patio dining as well as takeout and delivery services.
