One might think that the long list of music populating the stages at the 39th annual Mudbug Madness would be enough, but it is not.
Live music is EVERYWHERE downtown this weekend. Let’s start with Thursday, May 25.
Caddo Common Park in the 800 block of Texas Avenue will be featuring the Lou Wells Band in a night of free jazz and big band. The event runs from 6-8, is free and family friendly. Bring your lawn chair, your blanket, your dogs and your kids for a fun night of live music.
Mudbug Madness kicks off a long holiday weekend on Thursday night with Mudbug Madness REWIND. The Boomers, Papa Mali, The Crawdads and Shantytown Underground will be on the stage from 5-10 pm. Admission is $10 per person.
A reunion of another sort is happening at Noble Savage Shreveport, 417 Texas Street. Airheart is coming back with all the tunes you love! Dan Garner, Amelia Blake Garner and Paula O’Neal will be together again, and it will be great! 7-9 pm, free admission.
Shreve Station, 400 Crockett Street, invites you to Tab Benoit with Matt Anderson and Jimmy Wooten. The show begins at 7 pm, tickets are $35 to $500.
