Scary Movies at Robinson Film Center

Remember again why you are smarter than the average Halloween victim at a series of scary flicks at Robinson Film Center. You would know to turn on the lights, lock the door and grab the machete, wouldn’t you? Laugh, shiver and be scared all over again at showings of Nightmare on Elm Street, the Lost Boys, Corpse Bride, Beetlejuice and The Exorcist. When: Thurs.-Sat. Oct. 29-31, various times. Haunted Pirate Adventure at Shreveport Aquarium through Oct. 31

You have two Haunted Pirate Adventures to choose from, mateys, one for the small fry, and one for the older fishies. The Aquarium has gone all out on the Halloween décor this year! Guests will be welcomed by a giant kraken at the entrance and the inside is transformed into a pirate ghost ship with 3D shipwrecks, pirate skeletons, fog, obstacles and more. Kids will be asked to help find Captain Barnacle’s lost pirate treasure, and along the way they will encounter all kids of cool and creepy sea creatures, a pumpkin patch, a trail of ghostly riddles and other surprises.

Mutiny BEFORE DARK! is for the younger minnows, daily until 5 p.m. (Fri/Sat until 4 p.m.). For the youngest guests who might scare easily Monday – Saturday lights will be turned up from opening until noon and then will be dimmed back to normal after noon. Daytime admission prices are $15 for ages 13+, $12 for ages 3-12 and kids 2 and under are free. SEAson passholders get in free during regular hours. Tickets are limited and must be purchased in advance. All health and safety COVID measures will remain in place.

Mutiny AFTER DARK! (Fri & Sat 5 – 8 p.m.)  features NecroManor actors “Creeps of the Deep” will be roaming the bowels of the haunted pirate ship, jumping out at you from the darkest corners. Tour the aSCAREium with zombie pirates, swamp monsters, sea hags and more! Not for the faint of heart!  Warning: After 5pm flashing lights and strobes will be used which may potentially trigger seizures for people with photosensitive epilepsy. Tickets are $20 and numbers are limited and must be purchased in advance. Season Pass holders will receive a $5 discount on tickets.

Enjoy your mutinous experience either daytime or nighttime depending on the age of your children; later events are scarier. Find Capt. Sci-Port Spooktacular on Oct. 31

All the little ghouls and gremlins will be headed to Sci-Port for the first ever Spooktacular Saturday! Enter the costume contests (adult and child) and win cash, enjoy Halloween-themed activities, and craft your own floating ghosts and edible hemoglobin. FREE fun for the whole family! Don’t want to venture out after dark on the creepiest day of the year? Have your Halloween fun all day long at Red River Brewpub. Wear your costume to the Shreveport Farmers’ Market Saturday from 8 am- 1 pm and trick-or-treat with all the vendors, find the Great Pumpkin in the pumpkin patch and peruse fresh produce, ready-to-eat food, soaps, coffee, fresh baked breads and more! Info here.

Labyrinth at Logan Mansion, Oct. 31 @ 8 pm

For a second year, the 1897 Logan Mansion is putting on a Halloween show for adults only. Labyrinth will feature one of the most popular global gothic musical talents, Aurelio Voltaire, along with New York performance artists The Long Losts. Enjoy a DJ and music, great food, costume contests, tarot card readings by the Mambo of North Louisiana, Mama B, special bar elixirs, and more.

Halloween Bass Party at Fatty Arbuckle’s Pub
