Downtown Shreveport Goes All Out for Small Businesses Saturday
You’ll be able to show your love at any of a number of small businesses in downtown Shreveport on Small Business Saturday, November 28. From the return of the Pop UP Project in the 700 block of Texas Street to holiday vendors and food trucks in the Red River District to a giant trunk show at The Agora Borealis, downtown’s small and local businesses are preparing to shine (so that you can shop)!
Carbo load to start your day at artspace, 710 Texas, at a special pancake breakfast from 9 am- 11:30 am. The day is also the opening of the 14 businesses that comprise the 2015 Holiday Pop UP, and to top it off there will be fun projects for children and families. Activities at artspace run from 9 am until 6 pm.
The Agora Borealis art marketplace at 421 Lake Street will be hosting a giant trunk show with more than a dozen local and regional artists and craftspeople. Sample cider and coffee and purchase one-of-a-kind holiday gifts from 10 am- 6 pm.
The Red River District is the scene of holiday vendors and food trucks, a trunk show and product launch party at Hippie Baby, an event that combines painting art with coffee (or wine) at downtown’s newest business, Bon Temps Coffee Bar, and holiday specials throughout. The fun there will kick off at 10 am and run until 6 pm.
