The Red River Revel is back with a vengeance this year. There’s a new, let’s-get-things-done Executive Director, a stellar musical lineup that has already been booked and promoted, and now, even more to excite folks who have become a little bored by the grand dame arts event.

This week, E.D. Logan Lewis introduced the custom artwork by Chase Mullen that will be the limited edition RRR poster.

Only 200 of the posters will be available, and Facebook has gone bonkers over the art and the new, cool vibe. The posters will be sold only at the Revel’s Souvenir Booth from October 1-9, 2022 at the festival.

Lewis announced to the media and other supporters this week that over 1000 volunteers have signed on, the show will feature more than 75 visual artists, and 105 menu options.

Anyone who ever left the Revel with coupons in their pocket will love the new high-tech wristband on which you will be able to LOAD your coupon purchases (no more paper coupons if you don’t want them). The wristband will allow you to cash out any coupons you don’t spend!

The Revel is partnering with SporTran on a free shuttle that will whisk you back and forth on Thursday, Friday, and weekends, and there is a concerted push to team up with businesses outside of Festival Plaza to keep the party going even after the Revel closes for the day.

The Revel is scheduled to take place Oct. 1-9 at Festival Plaza, 101 Crockett St. in downtown Shreveport. Hours are:

Monday-Wednesday and first Sunday 11 am- 9 pm
Thurs.-Saturday 11am- 10 pm
Second Sunday (Oct. 9) 11 am- 7 pm
