FAUXTOGRAPHY: An Exhibit of Works by Paige Powell, will be held at minicine? at 846 Texas Street in downtown Shreveport Wednesday, May 2 from 5PM until 8PM. Guests will enjoy music from Jesse Rawlinson, Jeremy Hayes, and Jerry Lee ll, and refreshments from Go Greenly and Lyon’s Pride Coffee.

Fauxtography is a free event featuring the artist’s 318 Collages and The Couch Series. With a background in advertising and graphic design, Powell’s work combines playful, bold color with a humorous nod to the absurd. Her 318 Collages mix Shreveport landmarks with vintage and modern cultural elements for a surreal look at her hometown. In her Couch Series, Powell experiments with stunning color saturations and whimsical personalities.

Paige Powell is a professional designer and mixed-media artist creating pieces in a variety of mediums. Her digital collages combine photographs and illustrations to create bold dreamscapes. Her hometown is Shreveport Louisiana, and she loves music food and travel.
